DARK ROAST
Grown by the women-led Ketiara Co-op in the Gayo Highlands in Sumatra, Indonesia, this Fairtrade, single origin dark roast delivers a bold, earthy cup with purpose. Savor rich notes of cedar, cocoa, and spice—brought to life through a traditional wet-hulling process. Deeply rooted in community, sustainability, and the forested mountains, this coffee invites you to discover the flavor of a better future—one shaped by the strength of a coffee bean and the hands that harvest it.
Ingredients: whole bean organic arabica coffee

The Sumatra Resilience and Rebuilding Effort for Ketiara is an urgent humanitarian effort launched in direct solidarity with our cherished partners, the Ketiara Cooperative, in the Gayo Highlands of Sumatra, Indonesia.
This community of women-led farmers has been devastated by rare Cyclone Senyar over Thanksgiving weekend 2025 causing catastrophic mudslides. The crisis is immediate: farms have been decimated, homes destroyed, two vital road-access bridges have been washed away, completely isolating their villages and cutting off access to essentials like food, clean water, and electricity.
Our partnership goes beyond procurement; it is a promise of mutual support. Grace Farms Tea and Coffee is rallying to provide immediate capital to restore their lifeline. While essential humanitarian supplies are currently being flown in, this effort focuses on delivering the critical tools necessary for their immediate survival and future self-sufficiency:
By dedicating $5 from every bag sold of our Single-Origin Indonesian coffee to this effort, we are financing the foundation of their long-term recovery. This is Phase I of a sustained commitment to the Ketiara community—a promise to stand with them as they overcome this crisis and begin the process of rebuilding.
This is not a nonprofit charitable fund. Contributions are made by Grace Farms Tea & Coffee directly to Ketiara Cooperative and its members.
Indonesian coffee is known for its rich, full-bodied profile and deep, earthy character. In Sumatra, most beans are processed using a traditional method called giling basah, or wet hulling, where parchment is removed while the beans are still wet due to the region’s humid climate. This technique—used almost exclusively in Indonesia—results in a distinctive cup with herbal notes, low acidity, and a smooth, syrupy body.
Sourced exclusively from the women-led Ketiara Co-Op in the Gayo Highlands of northwestern Sumatra Indonesia.
